City Seeks Input on Proposed Rec Center
The City of Baytown is currently studying the feasibility of developing a municipal recreation center. The proposed project is part of the City’s community-driven Strategic Plan Goal 3 – Community Amenities. As part of the plan, community input will play a significant part in the development of the center.
A Community Input Town Hall listening session is planned for May 31, from 6:30 -8 pm, at the Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market Street. Residents, business owners, elected officials and community stakeholders are invited to attend and offer their ideas and suggestions on what they would like to see at a new Recreation Center and provide input on how they would like to see a future site developed.
In addition, an online public survey is being conducted to gather input from those who might not attend the Town Hall. The survey is available in both English and Spanish by visiting http://www.baytown.org/activities-events/townhall-meeting.
This project supports the City’s purpose statement – “Together we enrich lives and build community.”
