The purpose of this document is to illustrate the overall vision of DowntownBaytown to the community and enable the City, property owners and citizens tomake informed decisions about future developments and enhancements. TheDowntown Master Plan: Area One was developed to address issues of an agingdowntown infrastructure, dilapidated structures and lack of a current market forDowntown. The streetscape improvement plan capitalizes on the existing assetsof the area while providing a framework for future development. The plan willuse public investment to increase the economic vitality of downtown and createa new image and sense of identity for Downtown Baytown.
