Dear Applicant:
Please use this guide to assist you with the Downtown Façade Improvement Grant process. If you have any questions, please call the Planning Department at 281-420-5394.
Attach the following information with your completed Downtown Façade Improvement Grant Application.
1. Ownership Verification – Provide proof of property ownership, proof of insurance, and a signed statement from each lien holder of the eligible property verifying applicant is current on all indebtedness that does or could, affect the value or ownership of the Eligible Property.
2. Current Property Taxes – Provide tax statements showing taxes are current.
3. Termite Inspection Report – Provide a copy of a termite inspection report performed within six (6) months of the Applicant’s submittal.
4. Asbestos Survey – Provide a copy of an asbestos survey performed within six (6) months of the Applicant’s submittal.
5. Inspection Report – Provide an inspection report from the City of Baytown Building Services Division indicating the building is eligible.
6. Design Plans – Provide a façade improvement plan and specifications.
7. Cost Estimate – Provide a cost estimate for the proposed Façade Improvement(s) stamped and sealed by a professional engineer or a registered architect, who is licensed to practice in Texas.
