House Moving Permit
  1. Complete application and file with City Clerk’s Office
  2. The applicant shall file a certificate of insurance with the city as follows:
    (a) Commercial general liability insurance with an aggregate of $300,000 for all claims arising in any one year.
    (b) Such insurance shall be written by an insurance carrier licensed to do business in the State of Texas and before cancellation must give thirty days’ prior written notice to the city via certified mail, return receipt requested. The city shall be added as an additional insured on the policy with no special limitation.
  3. The fee is $10.00 per year, pro-rated quarterly.
  4. All permits expire December 31.
    Note: Contact the Inspection Department as it is necessary to apply to the chief building official prior to beginning work.
