JOB SUMMARY AND PRINCIPAL DUTIES (6400L-69E) Supervises street and drainage crews that repair street and drainage facilities. Supervises solid waste crews including collection and processing of limbs and brush, operation of the heavy trash drop-off facility and the administration of contracts including household garbage collection/disposal and recycling.
Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work more than 40 hours a week. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
2. Five years related experience.
3. Prior supervisory experience.
4. Computer literate in Word and Excel.
5. Must have valid Texas Drivers License with acceptable driving record.
6. Valid State of Texas Class "A" commercial driver’s license with endorsement of air brakes, cargo, and combination must be obtained within two (2) months of date of hire.
