This program will teach the art, sport, kidnapping awareness, self-defense and self-confidence aspects of American Karate. It is a year round program. The same certified instructors teach since 1995. Fastforward Kids is merging the best in science and technology with the wonder of flight.  Drone Junior Flight Camp is taking a hands-on learning approach and mixing in innovation and adventure.  Make new friends, play creative games and embrace what is soon to be one of the fastest growing technological career fields.  Drone Junior Flight Camp is coming together where education and entertainment overlap.  Engaging and inspiring kids and at the same time preparing them to change the world.  Get flight certification from Fastforward Kids. Take to the skies and become an honorary junior drone pilot.

Ages 8-12

This is the place for all the fashionistas.  Young girls graduate from playing dress up to creating their own designs! They will express themselves with their own fashion sense by following the same design principles used by professionals. This includes basic sketching techniques, coordination colors for the best effect and mixing textures and patterns for perception and scale. Cultural fashion history will be applied to all the girl’s individual style and portfolio. Designs come to life with beautifully patterned fabric, ribbons, sequins, jewels, and oodles of other embellishments. Collaborative “design team” challenges make this hands-on, minds-on adventure into the world of design very exciting. For your child’s safety, no sewing is practiced in this class.

At Camp Barbie, your child will have loads of fun helping Barbie learn the many things she needs to know to become a great girl. It’s Barbie wonderland with Barbie, her friends, and all her accessories.  Your child and Barbie will have a great time learning to dress for occasion appropriately, practicing good manners, making new friends, the importance of school work, how to use money, dreaming of careers, attending social functions, hearing great stories, practicing talents, great cooking tips, art and much more! Non-stop activities and fun learning adventures are all geared toward self-esteem development in this class. Your child’s certified teacher has developed a rich and meaningful curriculum full of supporting activities and objectives.

Enter a world of discovery using the fun of Hot Wheels and Play Doh.  Children will discover a world of physical science utilizing endless Hot Wheel’s tracks and obstacle courses.   If Play Doh is your style then children can engage in the past, present, and future as they mold volcanoes, animals, food and the solar system.  With Hot Wheels children will learn momentum, force, and friction as cars acrobatically fly before them.  Measuring length and weight in various units will help in the identification of the fastest, most efficient car on the block. Mega Loop Mayhem, Shark Cliff Hanger, Wolf Mountain, and hundreds of cars are just some of the play equipment that will have your child yearning to come each day! With Play Doh, children develop social development and artistic creativity while engaging in a very moldable way!

Circus Arts Camp is a camp experience designed to introduce children to circus, performing, and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment. Camper age begins at 5 years old and includes pre-teens. Any level of physical development & skill is welcome.  Your camper will receive circus arts instruction and have the time of their life learning to perform with silks, special hoops and loops, the art of magic, balloon art and get all fancy with clown face painting.  It’s the greatest camp on Earth and your child can be part of the fun!

Summer Lego Camp



Minecraft Engineering
Ages 5-7
Mon, June 4th- Fri, June 8th 8:30am-11:30am $125
Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as a motorized Creeper, a portal to the Nether, and a moving Minecart! Create your favorite Minecraft objects with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Whether you are new to Minecraft and LEGO® materials or a seasoned veteran, you'll be hooked on the endless creative possibilities.




Minecraft Master Engineering

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® parts! Build a motorized walking Creeper, a terrifying Ghast, and a motorized Minecart! This project-based camp, designed by Play-Well instructors, combines the basic format of our core engineering-themed programs based on the world of Minecraft. Students will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® materials.

All About Slime Camp
Mon, June 4th- Fri, June 8th 9am-1pm $100 (no sibling discount)
During the ALL ABOUT SLIME camp kids will create different versions of slime (oozy, fluffy, edible, slimy, glittery, and the list goes on), have a slime inspired snack, create slime inspired activities, and finish off with a SLIME story!

Veterinarian Camp – Ages 4 & up
Mon, June 18th- Fri, June 22nd 9am-1pm   $125 ($10 sibling discount)
Kids will learn all about what veterinarians do, the tools and instruments they use, and the kinds of animals they take care of. They view x-rays, explore anatomy, make models and learn how to tell whether an animal is sick -- all while learning lots of useful information about household pets, barnyard animals, zoo mammals, aquatic animals and backyard critters. 

Ages 4 & up
Spy Training Camp
Mon, July 16th-Friday, July 20th 9am-1pm $125 ($10 sibling discount)
Kids become cadets in a Spy Training Academy and solve daily mysteries. Along the way, they explore disguises, secret codes, spy gadgets, disappearing ink, chromatography, fingerprint analysis, forensic chemistry, sign language, secret compartments, night vision, spy cameras and so much more!

Town Square Sidewalk Art Contest

Contest Date: April 28th

Application Deadline: April 23 at 12 pm

Competition: 2 pm-6 pm

Judging: 6 pm- 7 pm

Awards: 7:30 pm

Application Cost: $5


One entry per person.

Must be 14 years or older to submit an application.

Artwork must be appropriate for family friendly public viewing.

Artwork will avoid political statements, advertising, and profanity.

Artwork will not violate any copyright laws.

Artists will be assigned a 5 ft. x 5 ft. block to create an original piece of art using chalk. We will provide a 24 color box of chalk, but artists are encouraged to bring their own chalk, blending tools, etc. No paint is allowed. Blocks are assigned on a first-come first-serve basis and consist of a random section of Town Square; some blocks may have cracks, color or texture variations.

A first, second, and third place prize will be awarded. A people’s choice prize will also be awarded. Individuals who attend the Food Truck Festival and Sidewalk Art Contest are encouraged to purchase tickets and drop them in their favorite artists buckets. Tickets will be available for $1. All money raised will benefit the Art League of Baytown’s Rising Stars, a special needs art class for adults.

Students who are participating from the Goose Creek Independent School District will have the opportunity to bring back the Most Creative High School Award to their school.

There will be a designated section for children under the age of 14 who would like to chalk.

Please note that competition space is limited. So early registration is encouraged.

If this event is rained out, a reschedule date will be provided.

Baytown Tourism and Baytown Parks and Recreation retains the right to photograph any and all artwork and to use theses images to promote future events. We will be taking photographs during the contest and all artists agree to be photographed for marketing purposes

Artist sketch must be emailed to after their application has been submitted to Eventbrite. You will receive an email response back once your artwork has met all guidelines and been approved. On the day of the contest only the approved artwork or close facsimile must be drawn.
