The City will host a community-wide Hurricane Workshop to help residents prepare for the upcoming Hurricane Season. Admission to the event and refreshments are free; and attendees can register for door-prizes.
Workshop attendees will receive information on establishing a family plan – how to prepare for hurricane season before a storm enters the Gulf and once a hurricane strike is imminent, and establishing an evacuation plan. Residents will also receive information on flood insurance and programs to assist with recovery, as well as learn how their local government plans and prepares for hurricanes.
