The City of Baytown depends on volunteers to serve on its various boards, commissions and committees. The City’s boards, commissions and committees assist City Council and staff in developing policies and governing the City. In order to facilitate the volunteerism of our citizens, we have created an application for you to submit to volunteer to serve on a board, commission or committee. Below are links to our application in Word and PDF format as well as an online form.
The boards, commissions and committees of the City include the Baytown Municipal Development District, the Baytown Planning & Zoning Commission, the Board of Adjustment, the Civil Service Commission, the Community Development Advisory Committee, the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals, the Emergency Medical Service Advisory Committee, the Parks and Recreation Board, the Sign Committee, Reinvestment Zone Number One, the Urban Rehabilitation Standards Review Board, the Baytown Library Board, the Tow Truck Committee, the Housing Authority, the Animal Control Advisory Committee, and the Youth Advisory Commission. The selection process varies for each board, commission and committee. We want to know of your interest.
If you are interested in serving our community on a board, commission, or committee, please complete an application and return it to us via e-mail, fax, mail, or drop it off at City Hall (2401 Market Street). If you have any questions, please contact the City of Baytown Administration Department.
