The Baytown Police Academy is responsible for the training of employees of the Baytown Police Department. Training Courses include mandatory in-service training as well as specialty subjects ranging from criminal investigation to firearms proficiency. The Academy routinely teaches a Basic Police Officer Course on-site. Use our online form to contact the City of Baytown Police Department for more information. Personnel issues and others involving Job Opportunities, Recruitment, the hiring of officers, their background investigations, and board interviews are handled by a senior officer who answers to the Sergeant. The Officer also handles all approvals for officers' off-duty employment. The Red Light Camera Specialist reviews violations and assists in managing the project.
