The City of Baytown Public Works Department announced that Garth Road will be partially closed for repair beginning Tuesday, May 26 at 8 a.m.
The work will take place in the southbound lanes at 3622 Garth Road. Although both lanes will be repaired, one lane will remain open throughout the project. Heavy delays are expected, so motorists are encouraged to take an alternate route (North Main). Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by May 29. A similar project will affect Main Street at Rollingbrook June 1-5.
Residents are asked to avoid the work zone if possible. When driving in the area, they should be alert for workers and equipment in the road.
