Looking for a great place for your kids to burn that summer energy? The Baytown Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for dance classes of all ages. The first session is scheduled from June 22 – July 18, at the Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market Street.
Classes for younger dancers are offered on Monday and Tuesdays. For ages 3-5, we offer Creative Dance Class which is held Mondays from 10:00 - 10:45AM. Dancers 5-6 years of age may participate in the Cool Dance Combo Class where they will explore a wide variety of dance including jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. The Cool Dance Combo Class is held on Tuesdays from 10:00 – 10:45AM. Registrations for these courses are $50 per session.
Older dancers? No problem. We have classes for them as well! There is an intermediate and advanced open technique class offered for those ages 7-8 on Monday and Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 PM and for ages 12-16 from 5:00 – 6:00 PM. You can maintain your ballet and jazz techniques in this twice a week class. Registrations for these classes are $75 for the session.
