In the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 24, 2009 officers with the Baytown Police Department were called to an alarm at the Valero located in the 3000 block of West Baker Rd. While officers were en route to the store, Baytown 911 received a call from the store clerk who advised the store had been robbed by three gunmen and that shots had been fired.
Officers arrived to find the clerk unharmed but extremely shaken up. The clerk assisted officers in reviewing video surveillance footage of the incident and the three gunmen are described as follows:
#1- Hispanic male approximately 5’08” with a thin build
Last seen wearing black pants, black t-shirt, white tennis shoes and a black baseball hat
with what appeared to be white dots on it.
#2- Hispanic male approximately 5’08” with a thin build
Last seen wearing black pants, long sleeve black shirt, white tennis shoes with black soles and black laces and a black baseball hat with a white design
#3-Hispanic male approximately 5’08” with a thin build
Last seen wearing light blue jeans, black t-shirt with a white long sleeve shirt underneath,
and a black hat similar to the one worn by subject number one.
The thieves were in the store approximately one minute and got away with 6 packages of cigarettes and approximately $10 in change. The trio fired at least one shot during the commission of their crime.
