Looking for a good book and not sure where to start? Join Sterling Municipal Library’s Jamie Eustace at Starbucks at I-10 and Garth Road to hear about the hottest books on the library’s shelves. Eustace will be reviewing books at the Starbucks location on Tuesday, October 20 at 6:30 pm.
This program is different from a traditional book club. “Attendees don’t have to read anything or do any prep work before they come,” explains Eustace. “Anyone interested can just show up and hear the latest on books that have caught my attention.”
Starbooks started in the summer of 2008 and since then hundreds of people have joined in the discussion about what’s new in literature. “The atmosphere is very casual,” says Eustace. “I have a chance to really connect with the audience and share with them my passion for good books. As a librarian, nothing makes me happier than to have someone tell me that they enjoyed a book I recommended.”
For the October Starbooks session, Eustace will review fifteen titles. Many of the titles are memoirs, but Eustace will manage to sneak in a few fiction titles as well.
