The City of Baytown has begun accepting credit card payments between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays, at the Utility Billing Collections office located at 2505 Market Street. Master Card, Visa and Discover credit cards are accepted by the City.
The City plans to accept the same credit cards at the Municipal Court, located at 3200 N. Main, by March 3, 2008 during business hours. Future locations for payment by credit card are City Hall, Health Department, Animal Services, Parks & Recreation and the Police Department. Currently, the City does not charge the customer for in-person, face-to-face credit card payments.
The Finance Department also plans to implement web-based and phone payments. The future web-based and phone payments will have a convenience fee charged.
