Volunteers cleaning up in Saturday’s (April 5th) Don’t Mess With Texas Trash-Off cleanup event are going to have an opportunity to participate in the Grand Prize drawings scheduled for 2:30 PM at the Wetlands Center. Initially, special “Don’t Mess With Texas” logo stickers were going to be placed on various trash items and randomly placed in litter hot-spots, streets, and ditches around the city. Due to the forecast of inclement weather on the Friday, April 4th, the Grand Prize tickets will be distributed by members of the Baytown Beautification Advisory Commission at each of the five (5) Drop-Off sites to volunteers helping to cleanup the city. After you complete your cleanup bring your trash to one of the Drop-Off Sites listed below and you will be given a Grand Prize ticket. Bring your ticket to the Wetlands Center between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM to have your ticket entered for one of the Grand Prize drawings. Each volunteer will be able to enter one ticket and only one prize will be awarded per person. You must be present to win.
The five Drop-Off Sites include:
1. Wetlands Center, 1724 Market
2. Bergeron Park, located at the corner of Louisiana and Kentucky
3. 6400 Bayway, located at the corner of Bayway and North St.
4. Bay Plaza Shopping Center, located on Alexander near James Bowie
5. Sterling High School, 300 W. Baker
