The City of Baytown will host a Memorial Day Service, Monday, May 31, at the City’s Bicentennial Park, 1001 Market Street. The ceremony, held in the park’s Veterans Memorial Plaza, will begin at 11 a.m. with the Posting of the Colors and a reading of names of area service members who’ve lost their lives while protecting and serving our great country. Several memorial wreaths will be placed at the park’s Veterans Memorial Plaza.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Baytown Community Center, located at 2407 Market Street.
Baytown service organizations who wish to participate are invited to bring additional wreaths to be placed in honor of our veterans.
