On Wednesday, October 10, 2007 the Baytown Area Water Authority (BAWA) will be running at a reduced pressure starting at 6 p.m. All BAWA pumps providing pressure will then be shut off at 10 p.m. This is due to a scheduled Tie-in, by Reytec Construction, of the new 30 inch water transmission line to the BAWA High Service Pumping Station.
At this time, the City of Baytown will be provided with water and pressure from the Elevated Storage Tanks as well as the City wells that are located throughout the City. The work at BAWA is slated to be completed by 6 a.m. on Thursday morning October 11, 2007. Normal operating pressure should be obtained shortly thereafter.
It is requested of the City of Baytown citizens to conserve water between 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 through 6 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007.
The City of Baytown appreciates your understanding during this time. For more information, contact 281-426-3517.
