The City of Baytown Public Works Department announced that North Main Street will be closed for construction in both directions between its intersections at Park Street and Williams, beginning Friday, April 24, at 8 a.m. The City will close the road to allow for tie-in of water lines to the North Main Water Line. The road closure is expected to be complete in one day, weather permitting. This work was originally scheduled for last week, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
Crews will be working on both intersections simultaneously, so residents are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes. When driving in the area, they should be alert for workers and equipment in the road.
