Law enforcement agencies from over 160 jurisdictions in Texas will combine forces in the largest state-wide warrant roundup. The warrant roundup will begin on Saturday, February 16, 2008 and focus on individuals with outstanding warrants for Class C offenses, which include traffic, parking, city ordinance, and penal code violations.
The participating jurisdictions include large metropolitan areas, counties, justices of the peace courts, and municipalities of all sizes. The City of Baytown Marshal’s Office has mailed out notices on 2,534 cases with active warrants since November 2007 to the present. Affected persons are urged to contact the Baytown Municipal Court to resolve these warrants immediately.
