Ready to run? The Baytown Parks and Recreation Department is now registering area youth, ages 6-18, for its Youth Summer Track Program. Registration will be accepted at the Parks and Recreation Office, 2407 Market Street and will continue through May 8
Practices will be held Monday through Thursday from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Pete Sultis Stadium, located next to Robert E. Lee High School. Weekly circuit meets will be held every Tuesday and Thursday at various regional locations including Baytown, La Porte, Texas City, Pasadena, Galena Park and Pearland. Participants will compete in track events for the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation and the Hershey Track Program throughout the summer.
A $75 registration fee per person includes uniform, weekly practices, local meets and sanctioning fees, and one regional meet). A birth certificate is required at registration.
