The Baytown Fire Department is a carrer fire department of nearly 100 professional men and women. An annual written examination is given to establish an eligibility list; candidates for employment must pass the written examination to be under consideration for employment. Applications are accepted from those both with and without fire and EMT certifications and applications from those certified as EMT-P or with a college degree are especially encouraged. The current application period has closed and the entrance exam has been scheduled. Once certified the list will be active until February 16, 2010.

The next written examination will occur in the spring of 2010 but please be sure to inquire early so that we may send you preparatory information.
