This summer the officers from the Baytown Police Crime Prevention Unit have been utilizing a new crime prevention tool around the city. The dual sided color printer/child identification system was introduced the first day Goose Creek schools were out for the summer. Premiere Cinema at San Jacinto Mall hosted D.A.R.E. Day at the movies and several children visited the Child Safey and Child I.D. booths. The officers have visited day care centers, apt. complexes, churchs and a school this summer with the system. The system is available for group programs and approximately 20 children can be processed with this program in about an hour. For more information contact the Crime Prevention Unit at (281) 422-5152.
