D.A.R.E. Graduation - Stephen F. Austin Elementary

2004

Over 150 students participated in their December 2004 D.A.R.E. graduation. Many parents and fourth grade students attended the graduation and cheered Austin fifth graders for their accomplishment.

Congratulations to all Austin 5th grade D.A.R.E. students!

2002

Stephen F. Austin held their D.A.R.E. graduation on May 14, 2002. During the ceremony, D.A.R.E. essay winners read their D.A.R.E. essays to the 5th grade class and guests.

Not only did students get awards, D.A.R.E. instructor Officer Maggie Hinojosa received a Stephen F. Austing T-Shirt from the DARE students. Her "Thanks" were heart-felt.
Officer Maggie also thanked the 5th grade teachers for all their support of the D.A.R.E. program. Teachers pictured from left to right are Dee Wilson, Laura Smith, Cindy Clark, Karen Smithson, Angela Norris, Patricia Authement and Andrea Rist.

2000

On December 12, 2000, Stephen F. Austin Elementary celebrated its DARE graduation. Officer John Butler, who is a DARE instructor for the Baytown Police Department, conducted the ceremony. This graduation was the fourth event for Officer Butler at Austin Elementary.
The event started at 8:00 a.m. in the auditorium and lasted for an hour. During which time, 144 5th grade students received a certificate of achievement and a DARE t-shirt. At the end of the ceremony the 5th graders performed a musical number for their parents and the 4th graders, all of whom attended.
A special thank you to Mrs. Linda Rowe of Engineered Carbons, Inc. Mrs. Rowe was the guest speaker and through her company the t-shirts and cake were provided.
