Jail Occupancy

Who is in the Baytown Jail?

Calls are constantly received in the Baytown Municipal Jail from the Public inquiring about who is in custody. The information on this page is provided to answer those questions. The information is current and automatically updated every fifteen (15) minutes without any human intervention.

The Jail Occupancy data comes from the Police Department's Jail Computer. It is information that is obtained during the "booking" process of a prisoner. When a prisoner is arrested by Baytown Police Officers, he/she is taken to the Baytown Jail. Upon arrival the prisoner is turned over to a City Jailer. After the prisoner's property is taken for safekeeping, he/she is "booked" into the Jail Computer System. This process normally occurs within 30-45 minutes after the prisoner's arrest. Once the booking information is in the computer system, it will be on this report within fifteen (15) minutes.

The information in the Jail Occupancy Report is separated into five (5) columns. Those columns are named as follows:

Name Date of Birth Date of Arrest Time of Arrest Charges
Last, first, middle MM/DD/YY MM/DD/YY 24-hour format May not be complete due to  space allowed for data
