New Hires and Promotions

Officer Aaron Corrales II

Aaron Corrales II, graduated from La Porte High School in 2003. Aaron attended San Jacinto College Central Campus and accumulated 48 college hours towards a criminal justice degree.

In 2006, he became employed with the Baytown Police Department as a Jailer. In September of 2007, Aaron was hired as a Baytown Police Cadet. He attended the Houston Community College Police Academy and obtained his Texas Peace Officer’s Certificate. While in the academy Aaron maintained a 92 average. Aaron scored 95 percent on the state basic peace officer examination, the highest in Houston Community College history.

He will be assigned badge number 61 and is eager to start his career with Baytown Police.




Officer Brian C. Treille

Brian was born in Hammond, Louisiana. He attended Hardin High School and graduated in 2002. Brian served in the United States Marine Corps from January 2003 until January 2007. He was a Military Policeman and a Working Dog Handler. He served in Iraq as an Explosive K-9 Handler in support of the 3rd Marines forward combat operation and the 2nd BCT Army Infantry forward operation. Brian received various awards and medals for his service in Iraq. He received an Honorable Discharge from the military at the rank of Corporal / E-4.

In September of 2007, he became employed with the Baytown Police Department as a Cadet. He went on to attend the Houston Community College Police Academy. Brian maintained a 90 percent average through his law enforcement training and graduated in the top five in his academy class.

Brian will be assigned badge number 154. He is extremely excited about his new career and is ready to start serving the citizens of Baytown.

Rodney Evans

Sgt. Rodney Evans Promotion to Lieutenant



Rodney Evans was born in Baytown, Texas in 1964.  He grew up in Baytown and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1983.  He joined the U. S. Navy in 1984 and was honorably discharged in 1988.  One of the assignments Rodney held in the Navy was that of a base police officer at the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Va.  This experience gave him a strong desire to be in Law Enforcement.

 

Rodney was hired by the Baytown Police Department in February 1990.  He completed the Basic Peace Officer Course at the Harris County Sheriff’s Academy in June 1990 and became a licensed police officer.  After which, Rodney was assigned to the Patrol Division.  He worked as a patrol officer until 1995, when he was reassigned to become a bailiff for the Baytown Municipal Court.  This position was the first of its kind for Baytown.  In 1999, Rodney returned to Patrol.  In 2001, Rodney transferred to the PRT team, where he helped arrest some of Baytown’s Most Wanted Fugitives.

 

Rodney was promoted on November 1, 2001 to Sergeant, with an assignment to the Patrol Division.  Rodney also attended night school at the University of Houston- Clear Lake and obtained his Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science in 2001.

 

Most recently, Rodney has been the Sergeant supervising the Community Services Bureau which contains D.A.R.E., Crime Stoppers, Crime Prevention, and Personnel.

 

In 2006, Rodney was selected to become one of the department’s two licensed polygraph examiners.  He completed a three month course at the Texas Department of Public Safety Polygraph School in Austin.  He then completed a six-month internship, and finally passed an oral board examination with the Texas Polygraph Examiner’s Board in Austin.

 

Thus far in Rodney’s career, he has had 9 Employee Merit of Accomplishments, 3 Citizen letters of appreciation, and was Officer of the Month, June 1993.  Further, he holds a Master’s Peace Officers certificate.

Maggie Hinojosa

Magdalena “Maggie” Hinojosa Promotion to Sergeant

Maggie has lived in Baytown all of her life.  She attended Lee College and earned 88 college hours, majoring in Elementary Education. In 1988 Maggie began her career with the Baytown Police Department as a police dispatcher. In 1991 she was hired as a police officer.  She graduated from the Harris County Sheriff’s Academy in March of 1992.  Her duties as a police officer have included Patrol, serving as the Housing Authority Officer and working at the Baytown Police Community Services Bureau as a D.A.R.E. Officer and Crime Prevention Specialist.

Maggie holds a Master Peace Officer certification and is a certified Instructor through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.  Past awards and achievements include the Chamber’s officer of the Month Award in February, 1995, Channel 13 Person of the Week in 1996, 100 Club Officer of the Year, the T.C.L.E.O.S.E. Law Enforcement Achievement Award in-1997, Baytown Sun Unsung Hero Award –2000, the Optimist Club Officer of the Year in 2000 and City of Baytown Oak Award in-2001, Officer of the Quarter-Jan. 2006, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President’s Award-July 2006. 

Maggie serves as a board member for Communities in Schools and the New Horizon’s Family Center.  She is a member of the Texas D.A.R.E. Officer’s Association, Gulf Coast Crime Prevention Association and a member at large of the Baytown Lion’s Club.

She looks forward to her new assignment and is ready to further her law enforcement career.
