Narrative
The Comptroller of Public Accounts launched the Transparency Stars Program in 2016 to recognize local governments across Texas that are striving to meet a high standard for financial transparency online.
Financial Summary
The financial information and documents are provided to give our citizens a clear view of how the City's funds are used to make the City of Baytown a great place to reside or visit. The government - wide Statement of Activities reports the results of the City's operations on an accrual basis of accounting. Revenues are recognized when earned and expenses are recognized at the time the liability is incurred.
Financial Information
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report - A through and detailed presentation of the city's financial condition. It reports on the city's activities and balances for each fiscal year.
Annual Budget - A budget serves as a fiscal plan setting out anticipated revenue and expenditures for accomplishing a variety of services over a given time frame.
Quarterly Report - This include the City's quarterly financial reports as well as investment reports.
Check Register - A check register is a listing of all payments incurred during the fiscal year by the City. It includes check number, check date, vendor number, vendor name, and payment amount.
