Hurricane season officially begins next week and the City of Baytown wants to make sure you stay prepared for any potential severe weather.
The City is hosting its Hurricane Workshop this Wednesday at 6:30pm inside the Baytown Community Center. City officials, along with Emergency Management teams, and our first responders will be there to discuss the best ways to prepare for the potential of a hurricane.
David Alamia, Baytown Emergency Management Coordinator, said, “The current hurricane forecast models predict another above-average hurricane season for the third year in a row. Remember, it only takes one hurricane to make it an active season in Baytown. Now is the time to prepare and ensure your friends, family, and neighbors are ready.”
Snacks and a few giveaways will also be available at this free event. Come out and learn more about the upcoming Hurricane season and how to be ready in the event of an emergency. The key is to prepare and be weather aware.
