Full Moon Hike

  • Date: 01/19/2019 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Location: Baytown Nature Center
    6213 Bayway Drive
    Baytown, Texas 77520
  • Introduction: Join us each month on the Saturday closest to the full moon to explore a different section of the nature center in hopes of seeing nocturnal animals. All sorts of things have been spotted - no lions, tigers, or bears, but definitely raccoons, opossums, coyotes, owls, fireflies and flying squirrels.

Hikers are asked to wear comfortable clothing. Small children should not attend since hikers have a better chance of viewing nocturnal animals in a relatively quiet atmosphere. Routes and start times vary monthly. Meet at the Visitor's Center unless otherwise stated. Hikes are weather permitting and free with general admission.

Admission: Adults (13+) - $4: Children (5-12) & Seniors ((65+) - $1;

Winter hikes:

Saturday, December 22, 5:00 pm

Saturday, January 19, 5:30 pm

Saturday, February 16, 6:00 pm
