The City of Baytown constructed a state of the art 9-1-1 Communications Center to house the Communications and Information Technology Services departments.  The approximately 18,000 square foot complex was built to withstand 150 MPH winds and allows unfettered operations in the event of an emergency.  Opened in July 2016, the center is designed to accomodate the current needs of the departments and will provide adequate room for future growth, allowing for improved communications and performance.
