This page gives a view of the Department from a historical data perspective. The Department is proud of its record in keeping crime reduction a priority.

**Effective 01/01/2020, by state and federal mandate, the BPD transitioned to NIBRS (National Incident-Based Reporting System) instead of UCR (Uniform Crime Reporting). Crime data is collected differently to better reflect criminal episodes. AC DW
