The Public Works Department is committed to providing the highest quality service through a skilled customer oriented workforce. Public Works will preserve confidence in the City of Baytown by delivering on our promises and by being accountable for our performance. Our goal is to serve and meet the needs of the community by enhancing the vitality and quality of life for all of our residence and visitors to work, live and play.
Public Works is comprised of 150+ dedicated workers in the following divisions:
Approximately 85,000 cubic yards of brush is collected curbside; 16,500 cubic yards of junk/construction debris is hauled from the Green Center; and 200 tons of material is recycled from the Green Center annually.
