Residential Trash & Recycle Collection

The City of Baytown offers twice-weekly trash collection, weekly recycling, and weekly brush pickup. City-provided bins and personal trash containers (30-50 gallons) are accepted. To request a new trash or recycling bin, or to replace a damaged one, contact the Public Works and Engineering Department at 281-420-5300. After providing your name, address, and telephone number, Best Trash will deliver your bin within 5-7 business days.

The Baytown Green Center accepts household debris, brush/tree limbs, electronic waste, and all recyclable materials. For proper disposal of these items and more information about the Green Center's services and hours of operation, residents can visit Baytown Green Center or the Harris County HHW Facility.

Trash Collection Service Information

Trash service is provided twice weekly to residents on Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday of each week. Trash should be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the day of scheduled collection. You can also use your old trash can as long as it is between 30-50 gallons in size. Trash bags, 30-gallon bags or smaller, will also be allowed as long as you put them next to the bins.

Trash pickup days are as follows:

  • Monday / Thursday: North of SPUR 330 (Decker Dr.) and North of Highway 146
  • Tuesday / Friday: South of SPUR 330 (Decker Dr.) and South of Highway 146
