About the City Clerk

The City Clerk’s Office stands at the center of the City, working closely with the Citizens, City Council, City Management and other City Departments by ensuring the City’s goal of transparency and records retention laws while complying with the federal, state and local statues.

Responsibilities and Services


  • Provide support services to the Mayor, City Council and City Administration
  • Manage City Council's and other Board’s agendas
  • Maintain custody of the City Seal
  • Manage and provide administrative support to various City Commissions, Committees and Boards
  • Custodian/Records Management Officer of the Records Management Program by administrating the City's records retention schedule for the creation, storage, imaging, preservation, or purging of records and maintenance of the City’s historical documents
  • Record and maintain proceedings of Council and other Board meetings, minutes, ordinances, resolutions and contracts
  • Processing of alcoholic beverage license applications, in compliance with the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission
  • Issuance of various additional permits and licenses
