Event Details
Baytown’s Household Hazardous Waste Event is a collaborative effort between Public Works and Engineering and Community Development. This partnership ensures residents have a safe and convenient way to dispose of hazardous materials and other waste, protecting the environment and promoting safe waste management practices. Held twice a year, this event provides our community with a reliable solution for responsible waste disposal. The last event was held on December 13, 2025.
Important Reminders
- Stay in Your Vehicle: For safety and efficiency, participants must remain in their vehicles throughout the drop-off process.
- Proof of Address Required: Be prepared to show proof of Baytown residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill.
- Check the Accepted Items List: Items accepted may vary by event. Please review the latest list of accepted materials before attending.

No, this event is for residential disposal only. Businesses should contact a licensed hazardous waste disposal company for proper disposal.
- I live in Baytown’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ), can I participate in this event?

The Household Hazardous Waste Event is available to Baytown residents within the city limits. Unfortunately, residents in the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) are not eligible to participate. For other disposal options, please contact Public Works at 281-420-5300 for further guidance.
