  1. Project Note

The Lakewood Park Project is currently on hold.

Secondary Logo_Full ColorThe Lakewood subdivision in Baytown, Texas is set to receive a new park. Concept plans for this park are still in development but potential installations aim to include a playground, walking trail, and dog park. Check back here for updates as they occur.

What: A new park is coming to Lakewood. After listening to residents and holding multiple meetings to gather public opinion, the parks department is moving forward to turn these plans to fruition.

WhyTravis School Park at 301 Robin Rd. is currently the only park within the Lakewood subdivision. However, as the community has grown so have calls for a more publicly accessible park with more amenities to offer. The goal of a new park is to strengthen the community and align with the city's main purpose to make Baytown a better place to live, work, and play.

How Long: This is a large-scale project with plans still in the early stages. Crews are completing survey work and a full report will provide valuable information required for further development and design.
