At the City of Baytown, we believe transparency helps build trust between our local government and the community we serve. To keep residents informed, candidates running for Mayor, City Council, or other local offices are required by the Texas Ethics Commission to disclose details about their campaign finances, such as contributions received and expenses incurred by filing regular reports.
These reports must be submitted throughout the election period and for as long as a campaign account remains active. Local candidates and officeholders must file with the City Clerk’s Office (City of Baytown), including Specific-Purpose Political Action Committees (PACs) that support or oppose these candidates, officeholders, or local ballot measures.
If you have questions or concerns about a report, or if you believe a filing requirement has not been met, please contact the Texas Ethics Commission, which oversees campaign finance reporting and enforcement.
