The City of Baytown is proud to celebrate Mayra Torres and her 10 years of dedication and service!
Mayra began her career as a Permit Technician, where she had the opportunity to assist customers daily, igniting her passion for service and community connection. Her journey then led her to Code Enforcement, where she worked behind the scenes, gaining valuable experience and adapting to a new customer base. This role deepened her understanding of the city's needs and challenges.
Now serving as the Administrative Assistant for the Planning and Development Services Department, Mayra continues to grow and make meaningful contributions to the City's mission. Reflecting on her career, she shares, “This job has not only provided me with a career but has also shaped my life in many wonderful ways.”
