"I have spent the majority of my time in Baytown at Station 4 and Station 7. I obtained my Hazardous Materials Technician certification in 2012 and have been on the regional Hazmat team ever since. I have taken hazmat classes throughout the U.S. over the years, and I am now the Hazmat Training Coordinator for BFD and one of the lead instructors for our Hazmat Technician program. I have taught hazmat classes to multiple fire departments in our region and have presented at multiple hazmat conferences across the nation. I also work for Homeland Security teaching Hazardous Materials courses at the National Fire Academy in Maryland. Aside from Hazmat, I am also on our Wildland Firefighting team. I have deployed multiple times, most notably in 2020 when I deployed to California to assist with the largest single fire in the state’s history."
