North Main Project Update:
North Main continues to make progress. While faced with unprecedented challenges such as remote work, supply chain disruptions, and fluctuating market conditions, our team has demonstrated remarkable resilience.
Starting Monday, February 19, the contractor, Interstate Improvement, will begin part two of the concrete preservation work on North Main, from West Baker to Archer Road. During this phase, crews will reinforce and strengthen the existing concrete pavement cracks and joints. This work will be followed by a surface grinding process that will improve the smoothness and texture of the concrete, providing a smoother ride for all. The preservation program will extend the service life of the concrete, reducing the need for a costly reconstruction project. Subject to weather conditions, this project is anticipated to be complete by March 25.
Lane closures will occur throughout the duration of this project to facilitate smooth operations and ensure public safety. Remember to exercise caution when driving through all work zones.
