And the Green Belt goes to…Miriam Schoen (Legal)! For her Green Belt project, Miriam looked at the process for printing documents (contracts, agreements, etc.) in Legal. As she Defined, Measured, and used a Fishbone Diagram to Analyze the situation, she noticed that sometimes duplicate copies get printed, which not only uses additional paper and toner, but also causes additional work for staff who then need to determine which is the original document and track each document for retention purposes. What a great place to start looking for ways to make this process more efficient!
