[ARCHIVED] Ronald Mullen, 30 Years of Service

Ronald Mullen - 30 Years

On May 1, 1995, Ronald Mullen joined the Public Works & Engineering Wastewater Department. Armed with a Class B Wastewater License and over a decade of hands-on industry experience, Ronald didn’t just join the team—he hit the ground running.

Over the past 30 years, Ronald has been a steady current across all four of the City’s wastewater treatment plants. His journey began at the Central District, flowed through lab work at both the West and Northeast plants, and has settled most recently at the East District, where he’s served for the past ten years.

One of the defining chapters of Ronald’s career was his role as supervisor during the construction of the Northeast plant. Not many can say they helped build a treatment facility from the ground up—Ronald can. He was there during the "flush of excitement," turning blueprints into infrastructure and laying the foundation for decades of future service.

Earlier this year, Ronald received the City’s Quarterly Stewardship Award for quick thinking that kept a potential fire from becoming a full-blown emergency. His fast action protected City equipment from massive potential damage.

Ronald’s dedication is more than just part of the job—it’s a commitment to public service that still runs deep. Thank you for 30 years of service to the City!
