[ARCHIVED] Sean Saunders, 25 Years of Service

Saunders Sean

At the age of nineteen, Sean began his career in public safety with EMS, answering the call to serve his community. By twenty-two, he had earned his Paramedic Certification and later achieved his Paramedic Licensure, solidifying his foundation in emergency medical services.

In November 2000, Sean joined Baytown EMS, where his professionalism, expertise, and dedication quickly distinguished him. He then earned a promotion to Senior Paramedic, where he continued to provide exceptional care and mentorship to others.

When Baytown’s EMS and Fire Department merged in 2012, Sean embraced the opportunity to expand his service by cross-training as a firefighter. He again promoted to Engineer in August 2017, and most recently, to Captain in January 2025.

Outside of his duties with the department, Sean continues to demonstrate his commitment to community service in numerous ways. He represents the citizens of League City as a City Councilman, serves as Secretary of the Dickinson Masonic Lodge #1324, and volunteers with the Dickinson Volunteer Fire Department as First Responder Administrator. In addition, he contributes his time and leadership to multiple community and county boards.

In his personal time, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and relaxing on his family’s land in Jewett, a place he describes as his space to recharge and reflect.

Thank you, Captain Saunders for 25 years of outstanding service, dedication, and leadership in our community and beyond.
