Santa is ready to roll into town with the Baytown Christmas Parade at 6:30pm on Thursday, December 7. Expect to see more than 200 floats and cars, plus marching bands and other groups eager to celebrate the holidays with you. Also, a new addition to the fun this year is the Candy Zone near Town Square, where kids will be able to collect and eat some sweet treats from parade floats.
There will also be live parade announcements from Town Square, the same location for the Holiday Hangout. After the parade is over, stay to play miniature golf and skate across the glice rink.
Parade and Route
The parade will kick off after Mayor Capetillo lights the Town Square Christmas Tree. The parade begins at Bicentennial Park, located at 1001 Market Street, and will continue near the Sterling Library before looping around Town Square on Texas Avenue.
Road Closures
You are encouraged to avoid parking near the parade route after lunch on Thursday. Roads along the route will also shut down early in the afternoon to vehicle traffic.
Parking Options
Residents are asked to park at the Sterling Municipal Library and Memorial Baptist Church. Street parking is also available. Viewers with handicaps will have designated parking at Memorial Baptist Church.
City Facilities Closures
The City of Baytown’s Utility Services Building will close at 3pm and the Sterling Municipal Library will close at 4pm.
We hope to see everyone at the parade as we continue this Baytown tradition.
