The City of Baytown is committed to making sure you are provided with accurate information when you want it today, not tomorrow. That’s why we are bringing you the City Council Preview, where we highlight several topics that will be discussed at the meeting.

July 4 Celebration Announcement

For the March 14 meeting, the highlight of the evening will be announcement of the entertainment for this year’s July 3 and 4 Celebration. We know residents will be excited to see who will be playing in Baytown.

Quarterly Financial Reports

The City of Baytown’s Finance Department will present quarterly financial and investment reports for the quarter that ended in December 2023.

PFAS Litigation Ordinance

Councilmembers will also be considering an ordinance that would possibly allow the City of Baytown to enter into an agreement with two law firms to pursue potential claims against manufacturers of PFAS materials, in the event those materials were ever found in drinking water, wastewater, or soil.

City Council will also be considering appointments to multiple committees.

These are only a few of the topics being discussed during the meeting. To read the agenda, visit the public meetings page on baytown.org. As always, you are encouraged to be a part of the conversation. Council meetings take place in the council chambers at 6:30pm every second and fourth Thursday of the month.
