City Council Meeting Preview (for March 28)

The City of Baytown is committed to making sure you are provided with accurate information regarding our council meetings. Here’s the latest City Council Preview, where we highlight several topics to be discussed at the meeting.

Recognitions

The meeting will begin with several recognitions including several April designations, including BACA Heroes Weekend, Community Development Week, and Fair Housing Month.

Ordinances and Annual Reports

Councilmembers will also discuss an ordinance authorizing a grant agreement with Best Friends as part of the community cat program on behalf of the Health Department. Council will also discuss an ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 2024 budget for encumbrances carried forward from Fiscal Year 2023. The adjustment is not additional as the expenditures were previously approved in the FY 23 budget.

Baytown’s Parks and Recreation department will issue its annual report during the meeting as well.
