BACA Recognized for Heroes Weekend

Posted on April 5, 2024 at 5:16 PM by Jason Calder

BACA Heroes Weekend (1)They are men and women who wear leather vests and ride motorcycles. Their mission is to support children, known as heroes, who have been failed by their environment. The City of Baytown is recognizing the local chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) for their efforts in protecting our youth.

Mayor Brandon Capetillo presented a proclamation at a recent council meeting to recognize April 27th and 28th as BACA Heroes Weekend. BACA is non-profit organization that exists to provide aid, comfort, safety, and support for children in need of those services. They are committed to the basic rights of childhood: be safe and be protected.

Mayor Capetillo said, “There are a lot of stereotypes out there about bikers, but BACA members are special and serve an important purpose in our community. I applaud your efforts and thank you all for the service you provide to our community and to our heroes out there.”

Please join BACA on the last weekend of this month in celebrating Heroes Weekend in Texas.
