Storm Debris Collection Underway
The City of Baytown is working hard to help our community recover from the recent storms. Debris collection is underway, but it’s important to know how to separate each group of items.
Separating Your Debris

- Household Trash and Recycling- Household trash and recycling will be picked up twice per week. Keep separated from storm-related debris.
- White Goods, Appliances, and Furniture- Remove all food and refrigerant liquids. Coolants should be removed my licensed professional.
- Construction Debris- Home construction/demolition debris damaged in the storm. Contractors are responsible for removing their debris. Examples: broken fences, shingles, carpet, and siding.
- Vegetative Debris- Storm damaged tree limbs and shrubbery only.
Debris Placement
Debris should be placed curbside without blocking roadways, storm drains, or sidewalks. Do not place too close to utility boxes, fire hydrants, light poles, or other structures as this makes removal difficult.
It’s important to note that crews will pass through zones multiple times to collect remaining debris and the Green Center will also be an option to drop off specific items once it reopens.
