A Shopping Experience Worth the Wait

It’s one of the most talked about subjects in Baytown and now we have new information to share regarding the San Jacinto Marketplace, including what your shopping experience could look like.

The City of Baytown and Fidelis have been working together to bring residents and visitors an elevated shopping experience since a new agreement was reached in 2022. Since then, Fidelis officials have been working behind the scenes getting the important planning documents ready. This is in addition to negotiations with potential tenants.

The City of Baytown has received five sets of plans, from Fidelis, that are currently under review. These plans are related to the utilities, public roadways, and site work that will take place on the property once approved.

But that’s not all. Fidelis has also been working on some themes of what the Marketplace will look like. In fact, we are showcasing these new renderings as part of this update in addition to spirit themes and colors that are expected to be used.

While these projects take time, Fidelis officials say the project will be worth the wait and expect to be moving dirt in the fourth quarter of this year. Look for more updates as the San Jacinto Marketplace gets closer to completion.
