Are You Prepared for a Hurricane?

The City of Baytown has designated May 4-10 as Hurricane Preparedness Week, encouraging community members to have a plan in place before a storm strikes.

Experts are forecasting an above average Atlantic hurricane season this year. As we know, it only takes one storm to change your life and the lives of your family and friends. Fire Chief Kenneth Dobson, Emergency Operations Coordinator David Alamia, and other city officials urge everyone to be ready for any natural disaster, especially hurricanes.

You’re also invited to the annual Hurricane Preparedness Workshop on May 15, from 5-7p.m. at the Baytown Public Safety Building.
