It’s time to STOP and learn about a new family-friendly event the City of Baytown is putting together to promote traffic safety, while offering important community resources that are a challenge to get help with.
The Baytown Municipal Court is hosting the first ever Stop, Look, and Learn Fair on Saturday, September 9 from 11am-2pm at the Baytown Community Center. The goal is to have some fun with the family and receive some important information in the process. So, what can you expect? There will be interactive safety demonstrations, cool giveaways, free treats and a whole lot more.
The Texas Department of Transportation will be bringing its “Rollover Convincer,” an up-close demonstration of what can happen if you don’t wear your seat belt. Baytown Police Department’s Traffic Unit will be on hand to discuss safety on the roads and answer questions as well. There will be a bicycle obstacle course and Baytown Blue Santa will be giving away bike helmets to children who show up to the fair.
In addition to the safety portion of the event, there will also be valuable resources in one place at one time, making your life easier. Resources available will feature everything from preparing your teen to drive to making sure your young children have the support they need as they grow up. There are too many opportunities to list, but thank you to our community and statewide partners.
We hope you will join us for the Stop, Look, and Learn Fair in September.
